Due to troubles attaining an artist visa i sadly had to cancel my participation in the NOVAS FREQUENCIAS FESTIVAL in RIO DE JANEIRO this coming week. i was really looking forward to visiting Brazil, and have been asked to play the festival next year, so hopefully second time is a charm!

i will, however, be performing FRIDAY DECEMBER 16th at KELLY'S OLYMPIAN in downtown Portland. here's the info for the show:

been back from tour for a bit, what an amazing time!
the amazing times have kept rolling and lots of things are in the works right now. inner tube is in its final stages of preparation and will be hitting the streets soon, so stay stoked for that.
in the immediate future, this saturday the crew's gonna head up to OLYMPIA, WA for a sick house jammer, here's the lineup::

hey dergs i just got one of those sound cloud pages to post some of my unreleased and weird tracks. started it off with my unreleased "another dead end" EP which contains the first incantation of the song "another dead end" off of my new record, "Get Lost", at that time known as "the body in question", as well as five other unreleased tracks mainly using guitar with no delay effects or loops, save the guitar-synth drifter "absolutely". calm mornings receiving terrible news, saying goodbye to dear friends, and other summer colors dedicated to the late great G Unit: Grady and Geordie.

Summer of Grub and other news

hey everyone, hope your summers are going great!
been super busy and havent posted anything in a while, the emeralds tour in may was amazing, thanks to everyone who we encountered on that trip, especially hector for the warning!
also "hobo with a synthesizer" night at the hollywood theater in portland was a huge success, was really psyched to be a part of that. footage maybe coming soon? that would be cool...
also in the last couple months the "Trouble Books & Mark McGuire" and The Amazing Births - "Younger Moon" LPs both dropped, which im super psyched about so make sure to get your ears on copies naaaow!
been working hard finishing up my new solo record which will be out on Editions Mego later this year..more info on that soon..very stoked.
and yes, it is confirmed that the third annual VOICE OF THE VALLEY festival will take place in beautiful Pentress, West Virginia on August 26-28 2011. lineup to be announced soon, but will no doubt be an awesome time. much more info on that developing soon, will keep you in the loop!

hey there! it's been a minute since i've been able to post up, been a lot going on!

unsound nyc was great, thanks to alan, mat, matt, and harald for a really exciting weekend.

issue project show was great, and unless you've been under a slimy rock you caught the ship happens tour at a theater near you, what a sick time.

communikey festival in boulder also ruled, thanks to kate, mat (again!), and everyone else who helped out that weekend.

and most recently the show at the reed college chapel with eye myths, eternal tapestry, and lady shapes the other night was amazing! thanks to maddy for putting that one together!

coming very very soon is the VDSQ solo acoustic tour of the west coast, may 1st - 9th. going to make a separate post about that, will put that up this weekend.

moving to portland/happy dog gig

hello friends

next week im moving out west to portland, OR.

seizing the opportunity to hang out with all my friends and everyone who has helped support

our music over the past years, we are having a show this saturday at the happy dog in west cleveland. i'll be performing with akron band TROUBLE BOOKS, we are working on a record that will be out in the coming months on Bark and Hiss Records and will be playing some jams we've been messing around with. they will also be playing a set on their own, and so will i!

it will be a fun and mellow night, ill also have a bunch of records and mixtapes and whatnot, hope to see ya there!
